Digital Literacy (Parents & Carers)
Service Description
Helping our young people grow strong, safe, and confident in a digital world. This course is designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth to build the skills they need to navigate the digital world with confidence, creativity, and cultural strength. Through hands-on learning in a culturally safe environment, young people will learn how to: š» Use devices, apps, and online tools effectively š Explore the internet with confidence and cultural care š± Create and share digital content with pride and purpose š Stay safe online and understand how to protect their identity šø Use technology to tell their stories and stay connected to community This course isnāt just about screen timeāitās about supporting our young mob to grow their digital skills while staying grounded in who they are and where they come from. It opens doors to education, employment, and cultural expression, while also teaching digital responsibility and self-protection. As parents, carers, and community, your support means everything. Together, we can guide our young people to walk strong in both the real world and the digital one.
